Trail 3, URSA Minor has been upgraded and sections relocated.

Interfor will be logging and using Trail 1, URSA Major this winter. For safe use by skiers and snowshoers, they have generously reactivated sections of Trail 3. You can access Trail 3 from Trail 2 about 100 m past the out house toilet B. You will follow Trail 3 parallel to Trail 1 and then cross Trail 1 to access Trail 3 again. Trail 3 then continues on a relocated route to Volovsek Road where you are about 30 meters South of the entrance to the rest of Trail 3 that takes you to Orion Lakes.

Please ignore how Trail 3 has been marked on all presently distributed maps.

Interfor will be conducting road building and logging operations this winter in the BPRA.

They have very kindly brushed out and upgraded Trails 2 (URSA Major) and Trail 3 (URSA Minor).

Now skiers can access both cabins by using these upgraded Trails and not using the main road. These improvements will make BPRA a much safer place to ski and snow shoe this winter.
